I am very concerned about the McMaster University administration’s concessionary stance at the bargaining table. Given the poverty that most graduate students experience, this is an outrage. I appreciate and stand behind the hard work of cupe 3906 in getting a fair contract for graduate and undergraduate students at Mac.
The attention to the hardship of international students is heartening. It is as if the university thinks of international students as a ‘market’ to be exploited rather than as a group of workers/students who are improving the scholarly integrity and international profile of McMaster.
